Hair and Food

Today was a thoroughly lovely day that, for the most part, went swimmingly, and it feels like we accomplished exactly what we are supposed to be doing- getting to know the women and children of Tabora. We began the day with another of our tasks- getting our fence repaired so we are ready in time for the rain with our bustani. We headed out with our panga (machete) to Tumu’s (one of our project partners) to cut sticks to anchor in our fence…

  2. You seem to be learning about the community and the culture. Tanzanian community ways remind me of the old days growing up in the US. Much communicating and being with each other. Interesting that clothing choices are strong gender markers.
